I can't believe we're celebrating Scarlett's birthday already! How can this be? On one hand I feel like she was just born, her birth is still so fresh in my mind (read it here), but on the other hand, I can't imagine a day without her. She's my sidekick, always clinging to my hip, she goes with the flow and is in no rush to enter toddler-hood. She loves being the baby of the family.
Tonight when I rocked her to sleep, I asked for a kiss (like I always do) and for the first time EVER, she sat up and pushed her little mouth onto mine. She didn't pucker up or anything, but she knew exactly what she was doing. Then she rubbed her head against my face (like a cat) and cuddled into me (this is her usual loving gesture). It was the sweetest thing.
Here's a quick year in review of our adorable, low-maintenance, sleeps like a champ, ONE year old! :)
